About me.
Hi, I’m Jocelyn — a strategic communications and advocacy consultant with a global perspective and strong local roots.
Over the past decade, I’ve worked on communications and advocacy efforts across 30+ countries on six continents, partnering with governments, international organizations, global brands, media outlets, and local communities. From managing infrastructure projects in Canada to living and working in Pakistan and the Democratic Republic of Congo, I’ve adapted to some of the world’s most complex environments — building trust, navigating diverse cultures, and delivering messages that resonate.
Along the way, I’ve been pushed far outside my comfort zone and humbled by what these experiences have taught me — about people, motivations, team dynamics, and the political complexities that shape every decision. It’s a reminder that good communication is about listening first, then choosing the words that truly connect.
Now based in beautiful British Columbia, I work with nonprofits, governments, philanthropists, businesses, and community partners to help their good work ripple outward — bridging communication gaps, strengthening relationships, and creating messages that resonate.
These days, when I’m not writing for UNICEF’s Office of Innovation or taking calls across time zones, you’ll find me in the garden, on a mountainside, or off on an adventure — always with a film camera in hand.
Let’s connect.
